Firewire

Developed by Apple Computers, the Firewire cable assembly is an IEEE1394 interface for high speed communications and data transfer. The cable assemblies come in 4-pin, 6-pin and the most recent 9-pin Firewire800 version, also referred to as IEEE1394b or iLink. Firewire cables are used to connect data storage devices, scanners, printers, digital cameras, industrial and pro-audio systems.
